LeierPLAN mortar for a thin joint

LeierPLAN thin joint mortar is a masonry mixture based on cement and lime, used for making masonry structures built from LeierPLAN ground bricks. It is suitable for the realization of load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls.

Applying the mortar: Application roller: Properly mixed LeierPLAN thin joint mortar is dispensed into the reservoir of the application roller. The cylinder is placed on the prepared row of bricks. By opening the flap and moving the application roller evenly, a thin layer of LeierPLAN mortar is applied to the surface of the ribs. It is important to mix the mortar of the right consistency! Soaking: The brick is soaked in glue to a depth of 5 mm. The soaked brick is immediately placed in its place in the masonry in the correct position.

The processing time is approx. 4 hours (at a temperature of 18 °C, the masonry mixture needs to be stirred from time to time). Masonry fittings must be set into the applied mortar as precisely as possible. Since the applied masonry mortar hardens quickly, it is necessary to correct the position of the installed fitting within 5-7 minutes.

Important: Tools used for mixing and applying masonry mortar must be clean. The mixed mortar must be protected against contamination during use. In strong winds, the masonry mortar must not be mixed or applied! The ideal temperature for using the mortar is 15-25 °C, it must not be used at temperatures lower than + 5 °C!
